Very Rare 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle L78 of show quality. Matching Numbers. Only 1 of 2,144 ever made. Won National first place at the Antique Automobile Club of America. This Chevelle belongs in a Museum. A lot has been invested in this build. Twice as many LS5 454s were built making these L78s rarer than 454s. They say for the 1970 model year the 396 C.I. was bored 0.030 inches, resulting in a 402 cubic inch engine. Despite this, the motor was still badged as a 396. 1970 was also the final production year for the L78. It is believe that only 1,288 of the 2,144 built were 4-speeds.
I have 170+ pictures of the car here: Â https://flic.kr/s/aHskFjnJWs
